Ben ling (Linda) Chen

Ben Ling (Linda) Chen is one of the founding partners of Chen and Xue LLP. Prior to starting up Chen and Xue LLP, Linda was Associate Counsel for a law firm in Richmond, British Columbia.
Linda attended Beijing Jiaotong University and has a background in science.
She came to Canada in 2000 and started her new career as a legal assistant with a personal injury firm in Vancouver before returning to university to obtain her Juris Doctor degree.
In 2006, Linda attended the University of British Columbia to complete her law degree and graduated in 2009. She was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2010.
Her areas of practice include business and commercial law, real estate law, family law and wills and estates. She has acted for individual clients as well as on behalf of companies in a variety of
legal needs. She has attended at hearings and trials in both the British Columbia Provincial Court and the Supreme Court of British Columbia on behalf of clients.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys reading case laws and legal commentaries. Her other interests include reading, watching movies and cooking.
EXPERIENCE
Linda has represented numerous companies, non-profit organizations and individuals to assist them in purchasing and selling commercial and residential real estates, business assets and shares. She
has also advised clients regarding business structures, shareholder agreements, and all kinds of commercial contracts, agreements, and leases.
She and her team also consults with tax and trust experts to provide globally structured estate planning and wealth management solutions to entrepreneurs and their families.

Song Xue
Barrister & Solicitor
Prior to forming Chen and Xue LLP, Song was Associate Counsel with a law firm in Richmond, British Columbia, handling various civil and commercial litigation cases.
He attended Shanghai International Studies University in Shanghai, China and received his Lawyer’s Qualification in 1998.
Song attended the University of British Columbia and obtained his Juris Doctor degree in 2008.
He represents individuals and companies involved in matters such as commercial contract disputes, real property litigation, construction and renovation, partnerships, breach of contract and
corporations and trust disputes. He has also represented clients in family matters involving property issues.
He has appeared and conducted many trials before all levels of British Columbia courts and is experienced in mediations.
In addition to Song’s law practice, he teaches Comparative Legal Studies at the Legal Interpretation and Translation Certificate Program at Simon Fraser University.
